We have moved Qubee Quilts to a new studio location within my home and I have done a little destashing.

I could stand to better understand how people use the various features of their cutting matts and rulers. There are all those diagonal lines, etc. and I'm sure I would use the various features more often and they could make quilting easier for me if I only had some idea how I should/could be using them.

ReplyDeleteLovely FQs - I love FQs! What are some of your favorite tools to use? There are so many different rulers and gadgets out there that it can be difficult to choose which ones will be most useful. While I love my LQS, let's face it, they want to sell me more stuff!

I also love seeing the spaces where people create... peeks into stashes (tidy or messy), etc.
Hmmmmm.........I have tons of fat quarters. So something fat quarter friendly is always good for me.

I love seeing different ways of doing things. F'r instance, I was at a class that showed at least 5 different ways to make half square triangles. It was nice to see how different people did the 'nitty gritty' and to try the techniques on for size.

What did you change, improve, leave the same? Lots of bloggers show storage and stash ideas, but how you actually 'work' - you know, like a kitchen triangle? What works best in a studio for quilters? I'll be doing this in the next year, so I'm looking for thoughts from others.
