Here's your chance to use up all of those scraps you have been saving up over the years! In quilting terms, "strings" ...
Do you really dislike it that much Charlie? Its lovely, light and fresh.
ReplyDeleteNah...not my style maybe, but not hideous. It has a spring feel to it.
ReplyDeleteNot at all. Sometimes I dislike my quilt tops, but once I quilt them, I like them much more. Especially in print-heavy quilts.
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughters would love that for the colors in it!
ReplyDeletewhy hideous?? i don't think so at all.
ReplyDeleteI think it's fine. Don't go too dark with the quilting thread or it will look like someone scribbled all over. I like the border you picked out but would bind in brown. Jovita from PEACOCK & periwinkle
ReplyDeleteI too had reservations about the quilt - mostly just that some of the diamonds seemed to get lost with their backgrounds. Like you, I would love to get some of her fabric to play with, but I know me - I wouldn't be brave enough to try diamonds (go you!) and I'd have tons of white in it. I'm a chicken over putting/blending fabric patterns together. I need the high contrast to sleep at night! So, no, not hideous at all - just not everyone's cup of tea. And as someone mentioned, you'll probably enjoy it more after it's quilted. And if not, you can always gift it to someone who would enjoy it more. Win-win situation.
ReplyDelete(PS - I understand the relationship, but what does BH stand for?) Thanks for sharing your creativity in blogland...first came across you with Pat's OP challenge!
